Club Trophies for 2025

These are friendly competitions between club members that take place throughout the summer as follows:

Curtley Cup This is a doubles competition where pairs choose their own partner. - May 18th 2025
President's Prize This is a handicap competition so more experienced bowlers can compete equally against less experienced players - June 1st 2025
Keith Drinkall Trophy This cup is also a handicap competition that has been presented annually since 1991 - June 22nd 2025
Silver Jacks Doubles Silver Jacks is a pairs competition -July 13th 2025
The Mardall, Phillip, Baker Bowl This competition is for a pair of bowlers - one experienced and one beginner - July 27th 2025
The Club Cup The Club Cup is a non-handicap (scratch) tournament to establish the best club bowler - August 10th 2025
Gloria Garnett Memorial Trophy A handicap competition that we use to raise funds for good causes - August 24th 2025
The Development Trophy A handicap competition for any member with a handicap 5 or above - September 7th 2025
The Pethybridge Trophy A handicap trophy for ladies - September 14th 2025
The Ladies' Cup A non-handicap (scratch) competition for ladies - September 14th 2025
The Gilfoyle Trophy The Gilfoyle Trophy is a team event for a mixed team of four and takes place at the end of the league season

The Wednesday League Cup 2024

Here are the winning team: Marilyn Heaton; Robin Sands; Steve Davis; Mary Wright; Andrew Cleminson; Malcolm Bishop; Graham Fletcher and Simon Cookson.

We also won this trophy in 2023, when we had only one team in the league. This year is even better because we have fielded two teams (16 bowlers) and were still able to win the trophy. The B team lost to Rolls in the semi final.

The Gilfoyle Trophy 2024

The 2024 Gilfoyle Trophy was won by Robin Sands team - "The Sands of Time".
